Meet Heather. At 44, she’s rocking that mirror selfie game and starting to embrace every line and wrinkle like a boss. 💪 She’s always been a bit camera-shy, but lately, she’s been snapping more pics to document her life’s journey and celebrate her wins. 📸
When she’s not striking poses, Heather’s all about chasing adventures and staying active. She loves dogs and baking. It’s been a while since she has whipped up a batch of her ‘famous’ cookies but, as a cookie lover myself, I hope she finds the time to get back in the kitchen and bring me over a cookie or two!
Life hasn’t always been about fur babies and desserts. Like many of us, she’s had her moments of self-doubt, especially about her purpose since she chose not to have kids. Growing up, Heather had a good home. As an only child, she has recently been trying to navigate the reality that her family’s stories and traditions may not have anyone to help them continue beyond her. That must feel like such a heavy sense of responsibility to carry!
In addition, she’s also battled some major body and health issues. Controlling what she eats and how active she is gives her a sense of control over something in her life. She’s never had an eating disorder but finds that she can get narrowly focused on eating healthy and being physically active. She talked about how having a sense of control over something helps her counteract the various levels of anxiety that she has dealt with in life. I don’t know about you but, I can certainly relate to the need to feel control!
She’s here for this Bellingham boudoir CRAVE Session to boost her self-confidence, because let’s face it, she tends to be super hard on herself. Some past relationships made her question her worth and her beauty, but she’s flipping the script now. 💥
For Heather, this session is all about celebrating a fresh start. She feels most beautiful when she’s independent and ready to take on the world solo. 💃 Heather’s on a journey of self-love and acceptance, and she’s kicking butt every step of the way. 💕
When she came to see her photos she became emotional and told me, “I’ve never seen myself like this before – I’m beautiful. Thank you!”
